A Utah Grand Prix and United States Track & Field Grand Prix Race

Date: Saturday September 11, 2010

Time: 4:00 p.m. (be at the Alta Peruvian Lodge by 3:15 p.m.)

Location: Starts near the Fabulous Alta Peruvian Lodge, Alta, Utah and goes straight downhill.

Deals: Each runner will receive the fastest 8K time of his/her life, and a chance to make as much as $200.00, a dynamite T-shirt, a fantastic BBQ, transportation from the finish back to the Fabulous Alta Peruvian Lodge, and an apres race relaxation in our hot tubs.

Fees: $28 - (postmarked before August 7, 2010); $30.00 - (postmarked before September 4, 2010); $35.00 - Thereafter.
Note: Additional non-runners partaking in the BBQ are $12.00 each payable no later than Thursday evening September 9, 2010.

Registration: You may register with a credit card online at www.altaperuvian.com. You may also register for the race by mail by simply filling out the information on our form (click here to open), include your entry fee, and mail it to ALTA PERUVIAN LODGE 8K RACE, P.O. Box 8017, Alta, UT 84092. Please make checks payable to "Alta Peruvian Lodge Downhill Dash".

Please note: Because of the food preparation requirements for the FABULOUS runner's BBQ, ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 9, 2010 AT 6:00 P.M.

Divisions: Male and Female; (11 & under, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & above, and Clydesdales (195 lbs. and above for men, and 145 lbs. and above for women). (Sorry, because of the dangers of this downhill race, there will be no wheelchair division, no strollers, no baby joggers, and no roller blades. Also, please be aware that Alta is a water shed area so no dogs are allowed in the canyon.)

Prizes: The top three overall finishers and overall masters winners, both male and female, will each receive overnight lodging, dinner, and breakfast at the Fabulous Alta Peruvian Lodge. Additionally, a cash prize will be awarded for First Place - $200; Second Place - $100; and Third Place - $50.

Age Division Prizes: The top finishers in each age division above 18 will receive from the Fabulous Alta Peruvian Lodge the following: First Place - overnight lodging; Second Place - Dinner certificate; Third Place - breakfast certificate. The top three winners in each age division 18 and under will receive dinner and breakfast certificates. Additionally, there will be random prizes for each runner.
