Widely-known as one of the oldest ski areas in the United States, Alta is a skiers-only paradise located at the head of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Peaking at 10,550 feet, Alta offers 116 runs with vertical drops of 2,100 feet and 2,200 acres of skiable area.

Snowbird

Famous for its powder skiing and snowboarding, Snowbird is Alta’s friendly neighbor located only a mile from the lodge.

Guests can purchase joint day and season passes allowing skiers to access the terrain of both ski areas. We offer a free shuttle to and from Snowbird.

Based in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains, Snowbird opened in 1971 and is widely known for their alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Peaking at 11,000 feet, Snowbird offers 89 runs with vertical drops of 3,240 feet and 2,500 acres of skiable area.

The Alta Ski Area and Snowbird Ski Resort conveniently offer the AltaSnowbird Pass which allows skiers to access both resorts’ terrain.
