Summer always has a funny way of making skiers nostalgic.
At the Peruvian, we think some of the best ski memories happen after you click out of your bindings. It’s walking through the front door of the lodge after a long day on the mountain, cheeks still rosy from the cold, and finding the lobby buzzing with familiar faces. Steam curls from freshly poured cups of coffee as tales of the day’s best runs grow a little better with every retelling.
It’s a scene that’s played out here for generations, and somehow, it just never gets old.
Traditions That Keep Us Coming Back
Every Peruvian guest has their own version of the perfect ski day, but somehow they all settle into the same familiar rhythm. As soon the the boots come off, the hot tub calls – steam rises into the winter air and tired legs recover from a day well spent.
Before long, everyone finds their way to the P-Dog, raising a glass, joining a shotski, or simply swapping stories from another unforgettable day on the slopes with people who understand exactly why you came to Alta in the first place.
We’ll See You This Winter
For now, Little Cottonwood Canyon is lush and green, the wildflowers are blooming, and the mountains are enjoying a well-earned break.
But, before long, winter will be right around the corner.
