Home for the holidays

While the lyrics in that famous Christmas song proclaim, “there’s no place like home for the holidays,” we’d argue it might be topped by the holidays spent at the Peruvian.

With near-guaranteed White Christmas, Alta promises both skiing and holiday festiveness. For decades, we have been welcoming generations of families and friends who come to here to enjoy the season’s magic and bountiful powder.

While there may not be caroling or gingerbread houses, we love setting a cozy holiday scene for guests to enjoy. Adding holiday decor throughout the lodge, including a fresh-cut Christmas tree, makes guests feel right at home. And what are the holidays without a great feast? On Christmas Day, we enjoy preparing a traditional Christmas dinner with turkey, ham and all the fixings.

If Christmas Day is enjoyed around the dinner table, we ring in the New Year at the P-Dog. Save those fancy party dud for the city – here it’s flannel and boots when the clock strikes midnight on a new calendar year.

Nothing changes for us, except this night is a little more festive than most others. The holidays do signal one more thing, though – more snow ahead!
