Another great season of skiing, shot-skiing and swimming in our heated pool has drawn to a close, and what a year it was! We caught up with General Manager Todd Collins to get the inside scoop on this memorable year and reflect on what we have in store when we return next season.
We turned 75 years old this year, and celebrations were felt throughout. We honored our Lodge’s birthday with custom merchandise and a commemorative book, capturing decades of memories and stories from all of you to be enjoyed and read through for the next 75!
Our Lodge wasn’t the only birthday we celebrated around here, either. Our beloved owner, John Cahill, turned a century old in April. That’s right, 100 big ones. A befitting prime rib dinner party was thrown for close friends and family to celebrate his centenary, and the city of Alta even got in on the action by dedicating April 11 as officially John Cahill Day. From all of us and the town of Alta… happy 100th, John!
Speaking of dinner parties, we were happy to welcome head chef, Jessie Rouse, to the Alta Peruvian (and to rave reviews). The food was delicious, the service was great, and the laughs were chuckled.
While our 571” snowfall this season didn’t clear last year’s outrageous 901”, it still made for excellent runs and a beautiful backdrop. We were blessed to break another record, achieving record-breaking occupancy over January, February, and March. A full Alta Peruvian Lodge is a joyous one, and it was so great to see all of you.
As we bid adieu to this memorable season, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you who stayed with us. Your camaraderie, laughter, and shared memories made this ski season truly unforgettable. We want to thank our dedicated staff for your top-notch efforts, and all the fun you had along the way. We are so grateful for everyone who visited, and we look forward to welcoming you back for an even more exciting 2024-2025 season!
Until then… stay safe, keep it loose, and enjoy the summer.
