What types of rooms does Alta Peruvian Lodge offer?
Alta Peruvian Lodge offers dorm-style rooms as well as a variety of other accommodations, including 1‑bedroom and 2‑bedroom suites, providing options for solo travelers, couples, and small groups.
Are rooms private or shared?
Alta Peruvian Lodge offers both private accommodations and dorm‑style shared rooms, giving guests flexibility depending on their travel style and budget.
Do rooms have modern amenities like TVs, microwaves, or kitchenettes?
The lodge offers a classic, traditional ski lodge experience. In line with that nostalgic style, rooms prioritize comfort and simplicity rather than modern in-room technology. None of our guestrooms include televisions, although our suites have smaller refrigerators. All rooms provide access to complimentary wireless internet.
What view options are available from the rooms?
Depending on the room type, many of our rooms overlook the Alta Ski Area, while others face different parts of the canyon.
Do all rooms include meals with the stay?
Yes. Rooms include breakfast, lunch, and dinner as part of the lodge’s all‑inclusive dining experience.
Booking & Occupancy
How many guests can each room accommodate?
Dorm-style rooms may accommodate individual travelers or small groups, while 1‑bedroom and 2‑bedroom suites offer more space for couples or families.
Is there a minimum‑night stay requirement during ski season?
During peak occupancy periods such as Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the lodge requires a minimum stay.
Can families or children stay in any room type?
Yes, but room selection may vary based on occupancy rules and availability. Suites are typically better suited for families.
Dining & Included Services
Are meals included with every room reservation?
Yes. Your stay includes all daily meals. Breakfast runs from 7:30-9:00 AM, lunch is served from 12:00- 1:30 PM, and dinner begins at 6:00 PM with a reservation‑only seated menu. On Saturdays, dinner is offered buffet‑style.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated during meals?
The lodge offers community-style dining and should be able to provide dietary accommodations with advance notice.

What is the atmosphere like at Alta Peruvian Lodge?
Alta Peruvian Lodge embraces a traditional European‑style ski lodge ambiance – cozy, nostalgic, and communal, with amenities like après‑ski treats, 24‑hour coffee service, nightly movies, and a lobby gift shop.
Are common areas available for guests staying in any room type?
Yes. All guests have access to lodge amenities and shared spaces regardless of room type.
Is Wi‑Fi available in the rooms?
Yes, we offer complimentary wireless internet in all our guestrooms.
Arrival, Departures & Policies
What time is check‑in and check‑out?
Check‑in begins at 3:00 PM, and check‑out is at 11:00 AM. If you’re heading to the mountain before or after your stay, we can store your bags so you can ski without carrying a thing.
Does the lodge offer shuttle or transportation services?
Alta Peruvian Lodge provides a complimentary ski shuttle to the Alta ski lifts. This shuttle makes getting to the base of the ski area easy, although it is also within walking distance. Alta Shuttle is our preferred vendor and provides shuttling to and from the Salt Lake International Airport.
Is there parking available for guests?
We offer complimentary on-site parking for guests only.
